There are several famous churches in Canada such as La Canada Presbyterian Church, The Anglican Church of Canada, The Wiccan Church of Canada, Free Methodist Church, Lutheran Church, and The Anglican Catholic Church of Canada, among others. Aside from all these popular churches, the most important church in Canada is known as United Church of Canada. It is one of the largest Christian Churches in Canada.

The United Church of Canada was established in 1925 by merging four Christian denominations Presbyterian Church in Canada, Methodist Church of Canada, Congregational Union of Ontario and Quebec and Association of Local Union Churches. United Church has historically identified itself and takes pride as the voice of liberal evangelical Protestant opinion in Canada. It is an evangelical Protestant denomination with strong Methodist and Presbyterian roots. United Church of Canada has maintained theologically and politically liberal positions regarding its stances toward the social gospel, women’s and minority rights and relations with the wider Christian Church. As per 2001′ Census, 9% of Canadian population reported United Church as their religious affiliation. The United Church of Canada has its presence in all the parts of Canada except rural Quebec.
